MSNBC Hires Mia Farrow's Son Ronan For Show

NEW YORK (AP) — MSNBC has hired Mia Farrow's 25-year-old son Ronan to host a weekday program at the network starting next year.

Network chief executive Phil Griffin said Wednesday that Ronan Farrow would be a game changer for MSNBC, representing a fresh approach to how it delivers news.

Farrow is a former Rhodes scholar who founded the State Department's Office of Global Youth Issues in President Barack Obama's administration. He has written about human rights and foreign policy and has been a commentator on television networks.

Farrow says he wants to shake up people's expectations for cable news.

Farrow made headlines recently when his mother suggested in an interview with Vanity Fair that he was the son of Frank Sinatra, not Woody Allen, as was long assumed. Allen has called the claim absurd.
